IBM Cloud DevOp's Technical Sales Specialist in Austin, Texas

As a Cloud DevOps Technical Sales Specialist, you'll consult directly with our clients, learning their business, their industry, technical requirements and competitive landscape. You'll leverage your technical expertise to design hybrid cloud development operations solutions that enhance productivity, speed time to market, unlock existing assets and expose new capabilities on new platforms. You will collaborate with our sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed systems of integration. You will deliver solution workshops, product demonstrations, technical education, Proofs of Concept and other technical accelerators. You will become the trusted technical advisor for your customers, supporting technical escalations, designing solutions, answering technical questions, and facilitating software deployment for your customers.Responsibilities Include:

  • Articulate benefits of complex technical solutions and products via industry and business terms to customers

  • Relate the technical needs of the customer back to the business facilitating understanding of the value of the solution back to the customers business (ROI)

  • Document and promote complete solutions via Demo creation, Videos, Proof of technologies, and presentations

  • Contribute to virtual technical teams building solutions to specific customers opportunities

  • Partner with sales peers to manage territory to drive new sales and expand existing business

  • Maintain understanding of the < INDUSTRIAL > market, including trends, industry business processes and industry use cases

  • Maintain and apply knowledge of the software lifecycle, software development methods and tools

  • Maintain and apply knowledge of DevOps Saas solutions with on-prem solutions

  • Maintain and apply knowledge of technical pre-sales, implementation of DevOps solution and technologies

  • 3+ years of combined experience with the following DevOps solutions: Release Automation going from Build and Continuous Integration (CI) to Continuous Delivery (CD); middleware configuration; pipeline management to Continuous Release (CR) planning; Automated Testing. Direct experience provisioning Full stack environments into Hybrid cloud platforms including, VMware, IBM Softlayer, IBM Bluemix, AWS and Azure, as well as ability to describe or manage Hybrid deployments.
