The Product Manager, Content will drive the product direction and execution to create an experience that delights not only our fans but our customers as well. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who will be instrumental in shaping the future of The Weather Company’s content experience. The candidate should have a proven track record of leading product teams, delivering against tactical aspects, such as writing detailed product documentation and interfacing with editorial, technology, mobile engineering, video infrastructure, marketing, research, and advertising operations to move the business forward. Reporting to the Director of Product, this individual will support all content & storytelling initiatives to improve the consumer experience. This person will work with internal and external teams to increase the size and loyalty of the news audience. The Product Manager, Content will be an expert in news experiences with a thorough understanding of the technical and creative aspects of digital publishing best practices. The Product Manager, Content is responsible for tracking industry trends, evaluating the marketplace and keeping up-to-date of emerging trends. This role is all about problem solving and delivering desired outcomes.

• Minimum 3 years mobile app experience across iOS or Android with a proven ability to establish key performance indicators to measure success vs. key objectives• Minimum 5 years in the digital environment bringing large, complex projects through to successful launch• Familiarity with online mobile video resources, tools, blogs, forums and professional organizations• Experience with technical aspects of digital content development from architecture to user testing of iOS and Android apps• Undergraduate degree required.• Experience working within the news media industry preferred • Proven success in leading cross-functional teams and projects
