IBM Product Designer – Android in ATLANTA, Georgia

We’re looking for a Product Designer with specialized skill in native mobile apps to join our team.

As a Product Designer at TWC, you’ll be involved in every aspect of the product creation process, from brainstorming the next great mobile innovation to tweaking pixels before launch (and beyond). You’ll utilize your unicorn range of ux design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you’ll collaborate with other talented folks on the user experience for our Android products – both mobile and tablets.

At TWC we use science, data and user-driven insights to guide our work, but we also believe in a healthy dose of inspired storytelling as we strive to transform the landscape of weather products.

What you’ll do:

Strategy & Discovery

Contribute to the user experience from inception to launch

Come up with bold and smart ideas that help solve user and business needs

Turn ideas into experiences that are feasible, valuable and delightful

Actively participate in discovery activities to help define products and features

Take part in ideation workshops and design studios and help with requirement gathering

Develop and help present proof of concepts to stakeholders


Sketch and prototype to quickly iterate on ideas

Execute high/low fidelity wireframes and user flows that promote ease of use

Create interaction models and UI details that optimize the mobile user experience

Work with user research and product managers on user testing

Design visually arresting interfaces that push past the obvious and delight our fans around the globe

Champion TWC brand and work with other designers to own, uphold and document mobile design standards

Prioritize work effectively and collaborate with product managers, developers, research and designers as needed

Comfortably give and take design feedback

2-3 years+ brand or agency experience as Product Designer, Mobile Designer, Interaction Designer, UX/UI Designer, or a related fieldExperience with native app design and knowledge of Material Design A well rounded point of view on user experience – Product design is not just about visual design or just about IAStrong design aesthetic and the ability to generate ideasAbility to employ design thinking methods to solve problemsExperience working in interdisciplinary teamsProficient knowledge of design and prototyping toolsExperience with user research and usability testing methods a plusExperience (or some understanding) of Android Studio a big plusKiller portfolio that contains apps (preferably published) that you’ve designed
