You’ll utilize your full unicorn range of ux, interaction, and visual design skills, and you’ll lead and inspire the user experience for our emerging platforms and partnerships – such as Samsung, Facebook, Google & Apple to name a few.At TWC we use science, data and user-driven insights to guide our work, but we also believe in a healthy dose of inspired storytelling as we strive to transform the landscape of weather products.Your day-to-day is never the same: Fast paced, often fun and never boring.What you’ll do:Strategy & DiscoveryOversee the full user experience from inception to launchContribute to strategic decisions and product visionCome up with bold and smart product ideas that cross-platforms and explore new onesTurn ideas into experiences that are feasible, useful and delightfulActively participate in discovery activities to help define products and featuresLead ideation workshops, design studios and help with requirement gatheringDevelop and present proof of concepts to stakeholders and external partnersDesignExecute high/low fidelity wireframes and user flowsUnderstand experience implications of different platforms including emerging ones (wearables, bots, messaging apps, OTT, IoT.. etc.)Sketch and prototype to quickly iterate on ideasWork with research and product managers on user testing and prototypesDirect and design visually arresting interfaces that push past the obvious and delight our fans around the globeChampion TWC brand and work with other designers to own, uphold and document design standardsDesign with an understanding of the latest front end technologies – Ideally know some coding for prototypingLeadershipLead design teams through major redesign projects or incremental product improvements.Prioritize work effectively weighing business and user needs while assessing impact of decisions on experienceManage and mentor designers and contribute to the leadership (and culture) of the design departmentComfortably give and take design feedback and successfully sell ideas to internal and external stakeholders

5+ years brand or agency experience as lead or senior level; Product Designer, Interaction Designer, UX/UI Designer, Sr. AD, ACD or a related field.A well rounded point of view on user experience design – Product design is not just about visual design or just about IAStrong design aesthetic and the ability to generate ideas.Ability to employ design thinking methods to solve problems and apply the right solution for a given problemExpert in latest tools needed for interaction design, wireframing, and prototypingAdvanced experience with user research and usability testing methods a plusAn understanding of the latest development technologies, knowledge of some coding a plusExperience working in interdisciplinary teamsExperience managing teamsExperience in emerging platforms and partnerships a plusKiller portfolio that proves you’re making something you love
