As an IBM Data Architect, the candidate will lead the architecture, design and implementation of software solutions around data management, analytics, data exploitation and virtualization. You will be required to consult and interact with our client’s senior IT stakeholders to ensure the solution fits their needs. You are expected have depth of knowledge of specified technological area, which includes knowledge of applicable processes, methodologies, standards, products and frameworks. You would be responsible for defining and documenting architecture, capturing and documenting non-functional (architectural) requirements, preparing estimates and defining technical solutions to proposals (RFPs). You should provide technical leadership to project team to perform design to deployment related activities, provide guidance, perform reviews, prevent and resolve technical issues. Responsibilities
Help clients to define their overall solution architecture to enable the rapid delivery of data solutions
Act as the lead architect and design authority in data solutions
Lead and mentor our development teams to create innovative solutions that address a client’s business challenges
Optimization of information management through an understanding of evolving business needs and technology capabilities
Proven work experience as a Data Architect or similar role
Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements
At least 5 years of experience in data management projects.
Experience with datawarehouse appliances (IBM PureData for Analytics, Oracle Exadata) will be considered a plus
Experience with the main relational databases, Oracle, MS SQL, IBM DB2. Familiarity with NoSQL databases will be considered a plus.
Knowledge of data mining segmentation and predictive analytics requirements and techniques
Thorough understanding of big data technologies and stream analytics
Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js and R)
Proven analytical skills
BSc in Computer Science or relevant field
Greek and English fluent
