IBM iOS Developer for The Weather Company in ANDOVER, Massachusetts

The Weather Company, an IBM Business is seeking an iOS Developer. You’ll work on a Scrum team and contribute significantly to the technical design, development and maintenance of mobile apps for our aviation division. If you are highly technical with experience in iOS development, and want to shine – this is your opportunity. Aviation and weather are two large data sets. You’ll build apps that pilots use to make complex, fast decisions. There is plenty of opportunity to expand and evolve your technical knowledge into REST services on AWS, big data processing, and Android – or to stay focused. We emphasize collaborative teamwork and it shows: the majority of engineers say “the people” are the number one reason they work here.

You'll participate directly in the development of applications and libraries. Ideal candidates will be effective communicators with technical and non-technical people. You'll need to learn quickly, be versatile and able to handle work across platforms. Above all you must work effectively in a team-based collaborative environment.

We also use a variety of other technologies including, but not limited to: HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, C#, SQL Server, and AWS. We don't expect you to be proficient in all of them, but having good working knowledge will help you and the team to succeed.

Exceptional candidates will have experience performance testing and tuning mobile apps, plus being well versed with AWS, Java, Spring, JSON, and REST are all pluses. At least one non-trivial app in one or more app markets will put you above the crowd.CSUSWDevSupport
